Description

Through lecture, group activities, and discussion participants’ will be introduced to the fundamental knowledge and terminology necessary to provide competent and ethical supervision. A generic structure for supervision, the role of the supervisor, and the impact of the supervisory relationship will be discussed. Participants’ will be provided with psychotherapy-based, developmental, and social role models of supervision.

Learning Goals and Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to identify the purpose of clinical supervision.
  2. Participants will be able to explain how the various models and frameworks for supervision can apply to supervision sessions.
  3. Participants will demonstrate the application of theory and skills to clinical supervision.
